Plan your time carefully. Time is a precious resource and we only get to use each minute once so make sure you are spending your time wisely. This makes sure you can get everything you need to done sorted and have lots of time left for self care like a self care morning routine and a self care night routine.
When you asked if you want to go to an event or party for example don’t just say yes automatically. Think about it first. Is it truly something that will make you happy? Does it bring you closer to your goals? Does it allow time to connect and have fun with people you enjoy spending time with?
Time is a precious commodity – spend it wisely! Your time is one of your most valuable assets and you should guard it closely and mindfully. It is all to easy to agree to do things, to commit without thinking of the impact on your own time and the knock on effect that might have.
Our lives are busier than ever. It is easy to feel overwhelmed. Easy to feel like there is an endless to do list of jobs and little time to do them. It does not have to be this way. There is an easier way. A way you can prioritise your time. Get your jobs done and somehow feel like you have more time left over for the things you want to do.
Use the Pomodoro Time Technique.
This can help you to increase your productivity. The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method created by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s.
The technique uses a timer to break down work into 25 minute intervals, called “Pomodoro’s”, followed by a 3 minute break. After 4 Pomodoro’s you take a longer break of 15 minutes. Using this technique can be useful in tackling longer tasks that you find it hard to motivate yourself to do!
I have created a time planner for you to download so that you can see where you are spending your time, where your time commitments are and how much free time you really have available. Seeing how much time you have left for yourself after sleeping/eating/working/chores will at least give you a guide of where you may be wasting time (think social media scroll hole – we have all been there!).
I have also included a Morning & Evening Routine Planner in the Free Pintables section to help you stay focused on the tasks in hand at these crucial times of day. A good morning & evening routine sets you up for success so think about the time you have available and use it wisely.
I really enjoy using the pomodoro technique. It helps me focus knowing that I will get a little 5 minute break for a stretch, quick walk or a cup of tea!
