I have been using the Mountain Warehouse Cosy Wrap II Women’s Extreme Down Jacket for a few weeks as I wanted to be able to give it a good road test so that I could ensure I write the best possible review.
The cosy wrap II has kept me nice and toasty. The morning temperatures have dropped to a chilly -5 degrees on some days during my test period. The cosy ii coat has kept me really warm and it feels like I am wrapped in a duvet; it so comfortable! To me, it feels like the coat traps a little heat in around the chest area. This is especially good for me as I have asthma and a lung condition so I do like to make sure my chest does not get cold.
It kept me dry in a light rain shower and mostly dry a heavy downpour (although it does take a long time to dry once it has got wet from the rain) – the joys of living in England! I thought a winter trip to Disneyland Paris would be the perfect opportunity to really give the jacket a proper road test!

The Mountain Warehouse Cosy wrap ii woman’s extreme down jacket is very appropriately named as it a super cosy coat!
If you need a good quality, warm coat, I would recommend shopping at Mountain Warehouse. They do ranges for Men, Women & Kids so there is no need for anyone to miss out on being toasty and warm this winter.
I reviewed the Mountain Warehouse Cosy wrap ii woman’s extreme down jacket in Black. It is from the Mountain Warehouse Extreme Range.
Mountain Warehouse Cosy wrap ii woman’s extreme down jacket technical details:
• Water-resistant – Treated with Durable Water Repellent (DWR), droplets will bead and roll off the fabric. Light rain, or limited exposure to rain
• Thermal Tested -40 °C – Laboratory tested. Health & physical activity, exposure time & perspiration will affect performance & comfort
• Fill Power Rating 600 – Higher fill power = warmer item. The measure of the loft (fluffiness). The higher the rating, the more air trapped per ounce of down allowing a higher level of insulation
The only downside is that with it being a big, winter coat sometimes you can feel like you are taking it on and off a lot if you are in and out of places. Also, its not a jacket I can wear to drive in!
